Life support from the Heavenly Father

You have a Father.

For the lonely night, the long grief, the worry that will not lie down, the dad who was not there, and the decision you cannot see past. Comfort here comes from Scripture, shaped around who God is as Father.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. Psalm 103:13

Shepherd

A Scripture companion. Tell him what is on you tonight.

Shepherd is on his way…

Shepherd is a Scripture companion, not God, not a counselor and not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about ending your life, please reach out to a crisis line right now — see Help now.

  2. 02

He gives you the right to be His child.

    Psalm 68:6
  5. 05

He will not leave you as an orphan.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

A prayer for today

You do not need the right words. These will do.

Father, I am tired and I do not have much to bring You. Thank You that I do not have to. Hold what I cannot hold today. Be near the people I am worried about. Give me what I need for the next hour, and let me trust You for the one after that. Through Jesus, who taught me to call You Father. Amen.

Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!Lamentations 3:22–23
